JCSIS is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Grade 4 Class Teacher to educate and inspire children aged 9–10. The ideal candidate will create a structured yet stimulating classroom environment where students develop critical thinking, independence, and a genuine love for learning as they transition into upper primary education.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver comprehensive, well-sequenced lesson plans across core subjects — Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Arts — aligned with the school's Grade 4 curriculum and learning standards
Create a positive, inclusive, and high-expectation classroom culture that motivates every learner to reach their full potential
Implement a balance of direct instruction, collaborative learning, and inquiry-based activities suited to the developmental needs of 9–10 year olds
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners including advanced students, those needing additional support, and English language learners
Design and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor, track, and report on student progress effectively

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education (Primary or Elementary) or equivalent teaching qualification
Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience at the primary level, with Grade 4 experience preferred
Strong knowledge of child development theory and best practices for upper primary learners
Proven ability to differentiate instruction and manage a diverse classroom effectively
Solid subject knowledge across core primary curriculum areas — Literacy, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
Excellent classroom management, organisational, and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficiency in educational technology and the ability to integrate digital tools meaningfully into instruction
Creative, student-centred, and growth-minded teaching approach
Valid teaching certification or licence preferred
